Ann Bailey Music

Ann is a talented composer, arranger, and conductor. Her music is soulful and comes from her heart, expressing thoughts and feelings about love, family, and her Savior. Using her skills as a musician, she takes notes and rhythms, interweaving melodies and close harmonies to create beautiful stories. Ann has worked with a variety of choirs, some with accomplished musicians, others with young voices and less experience. She can arrange music and adapt her conducting to a variety of abilities, making music available to all who want to enjoy it.

I have had the distinct pleasure of knowing Ann for many years. She has always impressed me with her attention to detail and ability to get quality choral sounds from any age group choir. I have had the pleasure of hearing both youth and the typical older generation choirs under her direction. Anns' compositions and arrangements show the same attention to detail. She takes glorious music and gently spins new life and harmonies into each piece she arranges. Her music is accessible yet challenging enough to keep one's attention, even for seasoned veterans of choral music.

Ann’s passion for music is infectious. As a conductor, she brings a vibrant energy that lifts every ensemble she leads—she doesn’t just conduct, she draws out the heart of the music. Her arrangements and compositions are thoughtful and deeply expressive, always capturing the emotional core and story of each piece. As a trained pianist, Ann writes accompaniments that are both exciting to play and enhances the performers. And as a vocalist herself, she crafts beautiful, singable melodies that truly showcase the voice. Working with her has been a joy and a privilege.

I have had the pleasure of being familiar with Ann’s music for over 30 years. All of her music features catchy tunes and memorable lyrics that not only stay in your mind but also leave a lasting feeling in your heart. Whether it's something strong, like “Ammon, Aaron, Ommer, and Himni,” or something that teaches through repetition, such as her two-part baptism rendition, they make learning the gospel fun and memorable. Her songs have also been known to bring tears of comfort and strength, such as “Remember Me” and “He’ll Come Home With You”. As one who has performed her music extensively, it has been enjoyable to be a part of touching her audiences. I highly recommend making her music more accessible to others. You get the spirit of the woman behind her music: strong, full of joy of the gospel, and passionate about life itself.

I have been a fan of Ann’s music for many years now. Her music and lyrics speak to my soul. Whether humorous or spiritual, when people hear her pieces, they are always touched. That being said, while I’ve known and enjoyed her talent for years, recently I’ve had the opportunity to work with her more intimately, in a small group and a large choir. To say that my admiration for her musical abilities has increased would be an understatement. She hears things that others don’t hear. She sees music and knows just what can be done to make something good even better. She knows how to pull the best out of people and clearly earns the respect and admiration of all who have the privilege of working with or under her direction. Truly her talent is a gift. I know she has worked hard for what she has, but it is more than just dedication and hard work. She was born with the music in her and I am beyond grateful to know her and benefit from that gift.
